Dear Lydia: I have great memories of Anna Ruth. Since I was your middle school social studies teacher, she often talked of you and your two children each time we saw each other. Just remember that the bond that unites you and your mother will live on forever.
- Larry J. Thompson, Savannah, GA
Your mother was a treasured friend in the Democratic Party and one of my first contacts when moving to Savannah in 1999. I enjoyed chatting with her especially at Clarys. She was an unparalleled conversationalist and I will miss her insight. She was also very kind to my wife and at that time infant daughter. Condolences and prayers to you all and my thoughts will join you in this as well as in the cellebration of a life well-lived.

Lydia, Ross, and Anne, I hope you received the personal message I sent. I have so many memories of your mom it's hard to condense them. She was an amazing woman and strong and a very good friend who several times said or did something that changed my life for the better. I thought of her often and am so glad she met my children. My thoughts are will you all. Much love, Catherine

Dear Family of Anna Ruth - Your mother found two homes for me and my partner Rob Richardson - she was a fine lady and a good democrat. I remember her making us an old fashioned shrimp dinner and seeing her dogs Edie, Tony, Cocoa, and I think her last dog was Beau? Anyway, I will miss her and her wise words. God bless her and my deepest sympathies to you all.

Lydia, Ross and Ann, So terribly sorry to hear about your Mother. I thought about her often, but never seemed to pick up the phone. When we were involved with Ballet South we saw each other weekly, and then the girls grew up and moved away, and we drifted in different directions. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Anna Ruth will be missed.
